As a stay at home mom, I would just laze around the house all day while my children were at school and just watch television and eat like crazy just to pass the time. In no time at all, I soon realized that I had become so out of shape that it became a struggle just to walk up a flight of stairs. That is when I decided that enough was enough. For me to feel healthier and to look great, I would have to change my lifestyle.
A lifestyle change consists of a dietary change and the addition of a training and workout program. Aerobic exercises are the best because it can be done at home and it is one of the fastest ways to lose weight and get fit.

There is a lot of movement involved with aerobic exercises, since it was initially intended for boosting oxygen intake for the body. Even though these are moderate intensity workouts done over an extended period of time, there are numerous benefits.
Aerobic exercise at home that you should try
The Step exercise – all you need is a step or something that is elevated of the floor. With some upbeat music, put your right leg on he step than follow it with your left leg than return to your starting position. Do this around 20 to 30 times on each leg. This is a very effective aerobic workout.
Jump Rope or Skipping – here is another great aerobic workout that requires only a jump rope. It is one that would definitely take you back to your younger days. This is an exercise that works your whole body.
Cycling – you do not need an actual bike for this one, a stationary bike would do just fine. Do this while you’re watching your favorite television show.
Running on a Treadmill – this is another exercise that you can do in the comforts of your living room while watching television. Plus, nothing beats a good run.
