Better Health viaOrganic and Inorganic Dietary Supplements

I just heard about a new type of dietary supplement. It’s different from any other supplement I’ve tried or even read about. This new supplement is known as zeolite. This unique product isn’t a food or a drug or a nutritional supplement. As a result of this reading, I believe that we should all use zeolites.

The most common type of dietary supplement (and one of the oldest) is vitamins. Vitamins are organic compounds that work with the chemistry of your body. They do the job of providing nutrients that our bodies are incapable of producing on their own. For example, vitamin D works with calcium (a mineral) to strengthen the bones and teeth. Lack of vitamin D causes a condition called rickets, which causes bones to be soft and become deformed. Children are more susceptible to the damage caused by rickets because their bones are softer and still growing. And you surely remember the stories of the British sailors eating limes on their long sea voyages to prevent the scurvy that is caused by a shortage of vitamin C.

Another common category of dietary supplements is minerals. Unlike vitamins, dietary minerals are inorganic. They are chemical compounds that act as building blocks in the internal structure of your body. The most basic minerals that we need are the elements carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. These elements form the structure of all organic compounds. These are not elements that you need to seek (unless you are drowning or starving). An example of two minerals that act as a pair are sodium and potassium. These electrolytes coordinate to control the passage of water into and out of your body’s cells. Another commonly required mineral is calcium. While calcium performs a number of duties in the body, the most important duty is to make bones and teeth strong. Calcium is the main ingredient of bones and teeth.

Another type of supplement contains larger components than just vitamins and minerals. These are substances such as lycopene that are found in various fruits and vegetables. If you eat a well-balanced diet with the emphasis on fruits and vegetables, you don’t need to worry about these substances. The key to smart nutritional decisions is in the color of the foods. The more of rainbow of fruits and vegetables you eat, the more of these substances will be included in your diet. Include red tomatoes, strawberries, and peppers; orange sweet potatoes, oranges, and cantaloupe; yellow squash and lemons; green spinach, kale, and turnip greens; and blue/purple grapes, cranberries, and blackberries.

Now we get to the latest supplement, zeolite. Zeolite is not a nutritional mineral that builds your body. It improves your health not by adding but by subtracting. It is an unusual mineral with an unusual make-up. After the processing process, its structure contains small holes or tubes that act as a sieve within your body. When you add this supplement to your diet, it enters your bloodstream, where its small holes trap unwanted substances and removes them from your body. Taken in the proper doses, it acts as a chelating agent that will remove poisons and impurities from your system. This supplement, in addition to the rest of your health regimen, will increase your health and energy.
