Eat well-cooked meat in fair portions – There are a lot of bacteria in raw meat and this means that if you do not cook your meat well enough, that bacteria may survive and be passed onto the unborn child. Just don’t eat meat that isn’t cooked all the way. To prevent gaining too much fat, eat meat in healthy portions for you and your baby.

No raw food – Although raw food diets are actually good for some people who are losing weight, this is not a good idea for those who are pregnant. Raw foods include drinking raw milk and eating raw cheese. If you love to eat sashimi, you might need to take a break from it while you’re pregnant.
