Overweight people especially don’t like to exercise but if you’ve gone so far as to get a lap band then you may as well go the extra mile, “no pun intended.” Start with something you really enjoy doing,start slowly. The most effective method of exercising to begin with is walking. It’s easy to use and inexpensive. With a good pair of shoes and a positive attitude you can walk off more than pounds. If you are interested in dancing, go ahead and try it. Put on your favorite dance music and do a little dance everyday. Once your workout has made you feel stronger and given you increased energy, it’s time to add resistance to your routine. One should start his day by doing a little bit of what he likes. Make it part of your routine, and as soon you do it will be missed if you happen to skip a day.

Once you have a diet and exercise plan, the final element to reach your goals is having a good attitude. For our long-term success, our attitudes and the way we feel is a major player. Rewards are key to getting results. Practice affirmations and tell yourself each morning that you will keep your promise to yourself to do whatever you can to reach your goal of weight loss. Realize that even though you have a lap band it’s ultimately you and your attitude that goings to help it do it’s job. No one but you can do it, and you can.

4. CREATE A SUPPORT SYSTEM.

Even if you have or don’t have a lap band, what really matters if friends and family. Placing positive people in our lives will help us better achieve our goals. Being able to have fun and be around people you enjoy being with it a major plus. The more you move, the more you lose and just go when friends say to go. Inform your companions and family accurately what you wish to accomplish and join up there help. There will be those who will make an attempt to sabotage you and the moment you realize who are they,you should shy away from them till you think that you can refuse them for their poor eating habits.

Remember, you’re doing all these things for yourself. Deciding to get the lap band means that you will do everything in your power to change your body, eating habits, workout routine, attitude and negative friendships. Everything needs to work together for your overall good. This is your time, so dedicate time to yourself to ensure your success and maybe one day you can help someone else reach success too.
