Learn How Rosemary Could Lose Weight Fast… Persistence
Singer, and aunt of George Clooney, Rosemary Clooney recently appeared on Tom Snyder’s radio talk show. Clooney and Snyder were long-time neighbors in Beverly Hills and had known each other well for a long time.
“Rosie,” Snyder said. “You look great. Did you lose weight?”
“Yes,” the 300+ pound Clooney replied. “Last I checked it was over half a ton.”
The two laughed, the studio phones lit up with callers and the comment became part of the Clooney saga.
Rosemary Clooney – like millions of other Americans – always seemed to be on a diet.
And, she probably did lose 1,000 pounds. The problem, she lamented, was that she gained 1,002 pounds.
How many pounds have each of lost – and then gained back? If weight fluctuates day-by-day, maybe by a pound or two, does that mean each of us loses 365 pounds a year? Makes sense, but that means people also gain 365 – or maybe even 730 – pounds a year. That can’t be right.
Americans put a huge emphasis on weight and appearance. Overweight people are often shunned by Hollywood, some make lifestyle changes and
become incredibly fit. Once a celebrity has made changes in their
life and gotten into shape, they often receive lucrative offers as a spokesperson for health and fitness related products.
From bestselling books to pitchmen for the latest fad diets, celebrities who lose weight turn up everywhere. Famous people who lose weight turn it into TV commercials for weight loss companies or manufacturers of diet supplements.
There seems to be an epidemic of those that constantly move up and down the scale.
A very common question you see on the internet is, “how to lose weight fast?” The permanent solution is diet and exercise But that doesn’t stop people from simple solutions like video games with cartoon characters who will run along with you, to gastric bypass, to the all cookie diet or the liquid diet or the protein diet. Many people are turning to the internet and websites like the biggest loser forum to find responsible weight loss advice from people who know what they are talking about.
Everyone wants the contestants on shows like “The Biggest Loser” to succeed. The workout and diet regimens on the show are inspiring to millions. Simply being weighed in front of millions of people would be a deal-breaker for most. (Most people find it difficult to be weighed at the doctor’s office by one medical assistant.)
None of us need the beginning of a new year to make a resolution to lose weight. This can be the year that we truly become the Biggest Loser.
