New Tinnitus Cures Explained
Tinnitus cures have been sought by many of it’s sufferers for a long time, but they should know that there is no cure for tinnitus. The good news, however, is that there are remedies that would help them manage the debilitating noise.
Now just because there is no proven tinnitus cures, you do not have to let the bothersome noise continue spoil your silence. There are a number of ways to relieve tinnitus, and they need not to be costly. A particular remedy could be as practical as listening to a favorite music placed in a moderate volume. As the saying goes, prevention is better than a cure. Although the presence of a ringing noise might mean that damage has been done, we can prevent it from getting worse by wearing a hearing protection device just like earplugs.
Another very basic remedy is checking our diet. Salty foods cause fluid retention, which is one of the triggering factors of ringing in the ears, hence, we should avoid these kind of food. Additions to the list of food to be avoided are chocolate, cheese, alcohol, coffee and sodas. Our diet’s checklist so as not to worsen the bothersome sound should be rich in protein, zinc, and choline and the vitamins A, B, and E. Smoking should also be avoided since nicotine is also a triggering factor. Proper exercise would also help as it would help your blood circulation – remember that tinnitus may be caused by conditions relating to the blood flow such as high blood pressure, anemia, malformation of the capillaries, and atherosclerosis.
There are instances when the natural remedies just would not work for you. Thus, you may try out the commercially available remedies. But it is strongly advised that you consult your GP, so that he or she could prescribe you with the treatment that suits you best. Your GP might advise you to try on hearing aids or maskers. If he or she finds out that the ear ringing is caused by a certain drugs that you have been using, then he or she can tell you to stop taking it and prescribe you with a new one. There are patients who prefer to take antidepressants to help them manage the stress and anxiety they have been experiencing, but they are reportedly to have side effects. Thus, herbal and homeopathic preparations are being patronized because they do not have any side effects. Other alternative remedies such as acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology are also likely options.
As there is no tinnitus cures, we should help ourselves find ways to at least relieve it. We should be committed to whatever treatment or treatments we have decided to get into, for these may take time. We should not get frustrated, and do our best to help ourselves as much as we can.
