The Distrust in Relationships
Distrust in any relationship often signals the death knell of it and any attempt to regain that trust is, in my experience, futile. But one truth is that distrust is the outward manifestation of deeper inner feelings, often of loathing to the spouse, partner or lover. The whole foods thing can sometimes create problems. For instance: “You ate my fruit cake from Dan and Harriet’s wedding, you fat pig”. In response: “No I didn’t, it was the dog!”. Now really, is the matter there distrust, or is it that the first person really thinks the second person needs to lose some weight.
