Why drinking beer cannot make you fat
Some weight conscious people worry that too much drinking of beer can make them fat. Nothing could be further from the truth. Beer will never make you fat . Beer is a beverage known since thousands of years ago, and next to wine is probably the oldest of prepared food drinks. In modern times the countries of northern Europe set the style of beer as it appears today.
Countries like Sweden, and Germany are renowned for their craze for beer. In regards to their calorie content, beer can have an alcohol content ranging from 0.05 -10%, wine usually is 5-13%, while liquors and liqueurs can be 14-40% alcohol. For drinks such as liqueurs that have lots of sugar in them, it is a combination of the alcohol and the sugar that bumps up their calorie count.
It will take many glasses of beer each day, to develop a spare tummy, but otherwise, beer hardly contains enough calories to make you put on weight. However, beer can contribute to fat gain around the waist area, so beware.
