Yummy And Sweetapples
The most common or well known fruit in this world also known as planet Earth would have to be the apple. The apple is a sweet red fruit grown on trees, known as apple trees. It is the most cultivated fruit tree in the entire earth. This apple tree is small reaching the heights of 5 to 12 meters. The tree leaves are shaped like ovals and is 5 to 12 cm long and 3 to 6 cm broad. This apple tree also produces flower. This flower is white and pink and has 5 petals. They are grown in the spring. The apple during it’s growing process, matures at season of the fall. It grows to about 5 to 9 cm in diameter. In the center of the apple, it contains the seed.
The apple tree was originally from Asia. We now know today that there are over seventy thousand and five hundred cultivators of apples which produced a variety of characteristics, such as red, green, seedless, sweet, etc. Each year, the world produces at least fifty five million tonnes of apples which has a total value of $10 billion US dollars. The leading producer of apples is China and the 2nd would be the United States of America. The leading apple exporters are France, Italy, Iran and Turkey.
The apple is often used in many dishes such as the popular apple pie and many others such as Apple Dapple, Apple Casserole, etc. The most popular apples are the ones that are soft in the inside but crisp on the outside. Consumers also desire bright colorful apples and absence of any russetting. Today’s apples compared to the olden days are much sweeter to the taste. In America, the people prefers their apple to be sweet, however in Asia they prefer it to be sweet to the max and with very little or zero acid flavor.
